Absence management system is the act of managing absence in a class setting to minimize loss due to student downtime. The system has been designed and developed to trace student’s activity in the class. The project is implemented in Microsoft Access with the power of Visual Basic integrated to it to improve the usability of the system.

The system is designed in a way that can record the hours of theoretical lessons and practical lessons, since the rate of them is different for calculating the percentages of their absence.

Insertions, deletions and modifications of information in the system can be accomplished straightforward via the designed GUI without interacting with the tables, and presenting this information is obtainable in more than one way.

The system is working enormously and can be used to manage the absence of students in any department in the University.
